I started this journal as a place to write through my thoughts and my life changes. When I started it, I was a married, middle aged woman with two children. Legally, that is still the definition, but my husband and I have been separated since the Spring of 2009 and my children are independent and off on their own. I have gotten rid of all material possessions that collected for decades and most of them fit in a small storage unit and in my old, 1998 Ford Explorer. I am now FREE and WANDERING and exploring life as it presents itself to me. I am a gypsy of sorts.

My daughter's name is Bonnie, born 6/09/85; my son's name is Clayton, born 10/08/87. I have two Pembroke Corgis (who no longer live with me), named Gizmo and Lucy. I sometimes live on an ashram in Northern California and sometimes wander to take care of elderly parents or explore what presents itself.

I love meeting new people, exploring new ideas, and finding kindred spirits here on LJ. Interesting, funny and confident people tickle my soul. Those kindred souls come in many forms. I don't ask that someone agree with my philosophies (as I can wane introspectively at times). I am interested in all different perspectives and most interested in being friends with those who are open to all perspectives.

Spirituality is a big part of my life. It is not something I go "do," it is something that I am. I believe in karma and reincarnation and in living life with intention and attention.

I have an aptitude for the aging population, am a gerontologist, and am called to work with people at the end of life and after they leave their physical bodies. I am not afraid of death, nor have I ever been.

If you friend me, I will most likely friend you in return. How well we get to know each other is open. I do use filters on my most personal writings, but posting there comes in waves.

I lived in Oregon for 31 years and call it my home although I am not living there. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was born in Texas.
